Bohemian Cellars began as a family project that would bring us together in the Leelanau Peninsula. Established in 2020, it has grown from a shared vision into a hands-on, working vineyard.
Ken and Brandon work the land, care for the buildings, and maintain the property. Abby and Jen work behind the scenes on design and planning for the future tasting room and venue events. Even the cellar dogs serve as vineyard supervisors.
Being family-run means everyone jumps in where needed, whether in the vine rows or in the tasting room. Being hands-on matters to us because we want to carry out every part of our vision and worry about the details, so our guests can truly relax and enjoy their time in the vineyard.
Our land has been entrusted to us by an original Bohemian settler to this area. We have learned and enjoyed stories of families farming this land for 170 years. Over time, it has provided for families through growing cherries, hay, corn, and small grains, and now, for the very first time, through viticulture.
Preserving the integrity of the land, rather than developing it into condos or something else, was important to the seller and important to us. We are proud to continue stewarding the Korson family farm and honoring its history.
